Why a Turkish-Kurdish Fellowship is a Hoax

When you switch on some turkish talkshow (which I do rarely but generally I catch something up when somebody in my family whatches TV), you often hear phrases of a turkish-kurdish fellowship, how do to it, what to do about it and what not.

Well, let me tell you something: As long as we continue using the words “kurd” and “turk”, this problem is never going to be solved. It’s because these categories and their assumed contents and meanings is nothing but constructivistic. And as long as this differentiation is being made, the disparity between those is never going to be overcomed. When kurds and turks are being perceived as two seperate entities like in Hegel’s marble model, there’s never going to be a fellowship; cry for it as you wish. Because the your underlying model of thougt is wrong. Because two marbles can not merge. As long as we continue using the words “kurd” and “turk” we are contributing to the semantic distinction of something that really is nothing but imagination. Just saying.

What’s on the Agenda in the Coming Days?

As I am still trying things out and experimenting here and there (it’s a work in progress) I would like to give you a short description on what my next actions on this blog are going to look like.

Uploading More Art

The first thing after writing my “about page” was to get the potfolio section in shape. Now as I figured out how that works, I am busy uploading my artwork and tweaking them so they all look all proper and nice. I did these first because mainly the content is already here on my local storage. Quite easy to push out new content this way. And there is more on the way.

Tweaking the Menu

I am not sure about the menu structure yet. I put in some placeholdes like education and politics since I believe my writings will fall into these categories although it’s possible that these will change along our journey.

Setting up English and German Language Options. Turkish Maybe Later

Yes, I am bilingual (Turkish and German) but I would also like to improve my English knowledge. It’s not that I am not able to express myself but I could improve my effiency. Because why not? That’s why I am writing in English. I plan to translate my posts into German as well and set up language options for the blog rather than mixing the languages together in the same stream. May be not interesting for people. If I get good feedback and people would like me to write in Turkish as well, that may be an option. We’ll see.
